This job was interesting as it is an old Victorian terrace with the kitchen, as traditionally, at the rear of the house. When the previous owners undertook an extension to the rear, (including a large living room, laundry & powder-room), the kitchen became a forgotten thoroughfare. Our clients’ brief was to keep the kitchen in the same position but make it more functional, increase the storage & blend it through with the rest of the house. We were careful to keep the finishes simple yet eye catching & also chose a floor tile which was both user friendly in the kitchen yet could flow through beautifully into the living room.
